The mission of the CBSA is to further scientific understanding of biological complexity and the nature and origins of human disease. She is the founder of BioTrove Investments LLC and the BioTrove Podcasts which is committed to offering a meaningful way for people to learn about and fund research in regenerative medicine.

DR. WILLIAMS

Dr. Williams CMO is a radiologist with a passion for gene and cellular therapies that can be administered under image guidance. He also has an interest in image guided cancer therapies. He did research for several years with adenoviral vector technology for the treatment of cancer. He has spent the last five years involved in research using AAV technology. Dr. Williams obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by a residency in Radiology at The University Of South Alabama. In residency, he was selected for the RSNA Research Fellow award. He is board certified by The American Board of Radiology with additional training in image guided cancer and spine procedures. His research interest is in gene therapy and reprogramming of stem cells. He also has research interest in the use of CT and MRI guidance for minimally invasive procedures related to the spine and treatment of cancer.

DR. AVI ROY

Dr. Roy CTO is an Oxford based biomedical scientist, with degrees in biomedical science and computer science. He is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Translational Medicine at the University of Buckingham (BITM). Additionally, Avi advises academia, biotech, governments, and pharma startups, including University of Oxford's Centre for Advancing Sustainable Medical Innovation (CASMI), University of Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute, Thiel Capital, New Medicine Partners, Deep Knownledge Ventures, and Government of Kazakhstan.

Avi's PhD research involved the rejuvenation of human skin using small molecules, and identifying accurate biomarkers of aging. Avi rejuvenated the skin cells taken from 80 year old patients by transplanting the mitochondria taken from 16 year old skin cells. Using transcriptomics, proteomics and computational biology Avi identified the pathways involved in the rejuvenation of skin, and ever since has been screening small molecules to replicate the regenerative process. His research has resulted in an advanced protocol for screening drugs that have geroprotective properties, which has identified twelve novel geroprotective drugs.

Over the past decade Oxford has been Avi’s home where he has headed the Oxford University Scientific Society, the world’s oldest student scientific organization. He also co-founded the Oxford Transhumanism and Emerging Technology Society, and the Oxford University Synthetic Biology Society. He is always involved in public dissemination of science and has organised over 370 talks, chaired 8 conferences and hosted 28 nobel prize winners. Recently, Avi has launched the Big Data Science in Medicine Conference series, the first conference series of its kind in Europe; and the Longevity Reporter, which has rapidly become the premier source for news about health and longevity.

DAVID A. KEKICH

David A. Kekich is a recognized authority on longevity science. In 1999, he founded “Maximum Life Foundation”, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to reversing human aging and aging related diseases. Since then, the Foundation, in concert with many of the world’s leading researchers, has developed a scientific road map to transform the elderly to biological youth.

David first became intrigued with extreme life extension in 1977 after founding the country’s largest life insurance master general agency, which raised $3.1 billion of premium income for First Executive Corp. This was where he was widely exposed to the realities and horrors of death from aging.

Currently, he also serves as CEO of SciCog Systems, Inc. and Age Reversal, Inc. He serves as a Board Member of the American Aging Association, Life Extension Buyers’ Club and Alcor Life Extension Foundation Patient Care Trust Fund. He authored “Smart, Strong and Sexy at 100?: New skin. New hair. New you… 7 simple steps to thrive at 100… and beyond,” a how-to book for extreme life extension.

He starred in two life extension documentaries and was featured in three others. Mr. Kekich is a popular lecturer and spoke to thousands of people on the topic. He has appeared on numerous television and radio shows and on many webinars. He was also featured in newspaper and magazine articles and publishes a widely read newsletter, Longevity News Alert.

DR Anca Selariu

Dr. Anca Selariu is an inter-disciplinary biomedical scientist, philologist and incurable optimist. She shares a vision for an inter-galactic humanity within the next thousand years, and sees each human being alive today as a precious resource to realize this potential. She has been dedicating her efforts to three causes: 1) creating human bio-enhancements and anti-aging therapies using ALL interdisciplinary knowledge and tools available, which will allow humanity to keep up and co-evolve with its own brain products; 2) educating the world on mental flexibility, so that prejudice, fear and discrimination become obsolete; 3) help design an ergonomic habitat for the far-future humanity, both on and above Terra. She believes that our collective mind will always seek to conquer the impossible, and we owe the future humans the best of what we can do today.

She has twelve years of biomedical research in herpesviruses and transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, and three years in cGMP project management and business development. She earned her PhD at Rutgers NJ, where she developed an alternative vaccine for chickenpox and shingles. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and another in Philology, as well as courses in astrobiology, psychology, criminology, nutrition, etc. She is a founding member of the Future of Thought Consortium, and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), Society for Neuroscience (SfN), American Society for Microbiology (ASM), and Eastern Psychology Association (EPA).

In her spare time, she enjoys creative writing, painting, maintaining a healthy mind-body connection and attending scientific conferences.
